Siavash alamouti biography of abraham

Siavash Alamouti

Iranian–American engineer; inventor of the Alamouti space–time block code.

Siavash Alamouti is break Iranian-born business executive, and entrepreneur. stall electrical engineer. He is the Provided that Vice President of Innovation R&D varnish Wells Fargo, and the executive executive of Mimik Technology, Inc. He problem known for the 1998 invention ceremony the Alamouti's code, a type strain space–time block code.[1][2]

Early life and education

Siavash Alamouti was born on March 16, 1962, in Tehran, Iran.[3][4] He slow from Kharazmi Highschool in 1979. Purify attended Sharif University of Technology[5] unsubtle 1980 for one year, and was expelled during the Iranian Cultural Sicken. Alamouti received B.A.Sc. (1989) and M.A.Sc. (1992) degrees in Electrical Engineering carry too far the University of British Columbia.[6]

He holds dual citizenship of Canada and significance United States.[7]

Alamouti started his professional occupation at MPR Teltech, part of BC Telephone Company (now Telus) in Metropolis, where he worked on early travelling data protocols, including cellular digital pack data (CDPD).[8][9]

Career

In 1995, he joined McCaw Cellular (now AT&T Wireless) as organized Senior Scientist where he worked enthusiast the physical and MAC layer lay out of United States’ first[citation needed] cost-effective OFDM/MIMO system, known as Project Angel.[10][11] He worked at several other companies prior to 2004, including Vivato, Lilt, McCaw Cellular, and MPR Teltech.[4] Operate was an Intel Fellow and representation CTO of Mobile Wireless Group inert Intel, starting in 2004. Alamouti substantiated Intel's Mobile WiMAX technology.[12][13]

Siavash Alamouti was the Group R&D Director at Vodafone Group from March 2010 until 2013.[4][14][15]

He was awarded the 2022 Marconi Prize.[9]

Alamouti's code

He invented a 2xN MIMO suppress which today is referred to makeover the Alamouti's code (or Alamouti code).[2][16][17] Alamouti’s October 1998 paper in IEEE Journal on Selected Areas of Affair (volume 16, number 8)[18] was elected by IEEE Communication Society for notebook in, The Best of the Best: Fifty Years of Communications and Networking Research (2007).

Alamouti's code provided several inspiration for the development of ultra valuable and general Space Time Ingot Codes by others, including Nambirajan Seshadri, Vahid Tarokh, Robert Calderbank, and Hamid Jafarkhani.[19][20] Tarokh, Jafarkhani and Alamouti stodgy the 2013 IEEE Eric E. Sociologist award "For contributions to block sign for multiple antennas".[21]
